The weekend of the 1st-2nd October is going to be BUSY!
I’m over the moon that I’m going to be participating in both the online Super Seconds Festival and at Made up North in Newcastle, which will be my first in-person event in quite a while.
Having never done the Super Seconds Festival before I thought I’d give you a bit of an intro and let you know what it’s all about and what I’ll have on offer.
The Super Seconds Festival is a great opportunity to buy seconds, samples or experimental pieces at bargain prices from Indie businesses from all over the country. They’re the sorts of products that you might find in a discount box at an in-person market, so this is basically an opportunity to rummage in loads of boxes from indie businesses all around the country all from the comfort of your sofa!
From a buyer perspective it’s brilliantly organised and brings lots of great indie’s, including ones you might not otherwise have found, all together in one place. And from a business perspective it’s a great opportunity to spread the word about Mint Maker Studio and be part of a really knowledgeable and supportive community. So everyone wins!
So what will l have on offer at the Super Seconds Festival?
A little bit of everything to be honest! I’ve got a range of stock seals and stamps that are all pretty much perfect but I'd like to clear them out and make space for new things that are on the way!
All stamps and seals available will all stamp and seal perfectly, it’s just that they may be on slightly older-style handles, may have handles made from a timber I don’t use any more, or be attached a little bit wonkily.
And the best news - they’ll all be 50% off for that weekend!
You can shop all my offers for Super Seconds Festival on my Etsy shop that weekend.
There are 250 other wonderful independent businesses taking part this weekend too and the makers catalogue is a great place to find out who else is so you can start planning. It’s searchable and broken down into categories too so if there’s something you’re after it’s perfect for finding out which sellers might be of interest.
One tip I’ve heard repeated lots is that with many of the items being one-offs being prepared is the best way of getting the best deals on the things you’d really like. Using the catalogue take a look to see which makers you absolutely want to visit early-on in the weekend, and you can even book marks their pages/links so they’re open ready.
Finally, for that weekend only if you use the code SUPERSECONDS you'll get 10% off full-priced items in my shop, and I know other makers are doing similar. All the information is on their listing in the online catalogue so keep an eye out.
I hope you’ll come and visit over the festival - or at Made up North where I’ll be on Sunday - and I can’t wait to see all the buzz over on the #supersecondsfestival tag and see what wonderful businesses are being supported and bargains found.
